Personal Data Stores er på vej frem. Det er tredjeparter, som agerer på vegne af brugerne i forhold til hvordan den enkelte ønsker sine persondata opbevaret og brugt. Vi får besøg af de to stiftere, Annemette Brock og Jens Lunn fra den danske DATA for GOOD Foundation (Line2Life) og af StJohn Deakins, CEO i den britiske CitizenMe, der flyver ind fra London.

Baggrund: Personal Data Stores (PDS) er en spirende tendens i især Europa, der arbejder for at ændre den digitale infrastruktur, hvor individer bliver mere og mere gennemsigtige og ikke har kontrol over egne data. Denne nye industri, der vil vende multinational bestemmelse til selvbestemmelse, er så ny, at der ikke er et fælles begreb for den. Det kaldes alt fra Personal Data Stores, PDS, Personal Information Management Systems(PIMs), Vendor Relationship Management, VRM (modsat Customer Relationship Management, CRM) og Me2B. Udover at være et gryende nyt marked, hvor de mange nye startups har helt forskellige forretningsmodeller, er det fremførte formål med alle at give individer kontrol over deres data i relation til sundhed, penge, rejser, bolig, indkøb og andre persondata.  PDSer gør individer i stand til at samle, opbevare, opdatere, korrigere, analyse og dele personlig data. Særligt vigtigt er muligheden for at give eller tilbagetrække samtykke til tredjeparters adgang til ens data. Man sætter så at sige sine egne pr default privatlivs-indstillinger.

Margrethe Vestager, Twitter: @vestager, age 48, is EU Commissioner for Competition. She previously served as Minister for Economic Affairs and the Interior (2011-14) and Minister for Education (1998-2001) of Denmark, and as President of the ECOFIN Council (2012). She was Political leader of the Danish Social Liberal Party (2007-14), and has worked for the Danish Ministry of Finance (1993-95). Ms. Vestager holds an MSc in Economics (University of Copenhagen).
