This coming month the thinkdotank DataEthics.eu will be very active internationally. It will be present both at this year&#8217;s World Economic Forum (WEF) and on the conference Computers, Privacy and Data Protection (CPDP).<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&#8216;Responsive and Responsible Leadership&#8217; is the theme driving the design of the programme, initiatives and projects of the World Economic Forum Annual Meeting 2017 in Davos Switzerland, where DataEthics will attend and lobby for data ethics as a competitive advantage in Europe.<br \/>\nThe former Danish Prime Minister Helle Thorning-Schmidt is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.weforum.org\/events\/world-economic-forum-annual-meeting-2017\" target=\"_blank\">1 of 5 co-chairs<\/a> at the meeting <a href=\"http:\/\/www3.weforum.org\/docs\/WEF_AM17_Overview.pdf\" target=\"_blank\">focusing on <\/a>enhanced international cooperation and earnest multicultural dialogue to advance innovations for greater societal impact.<br \/>\nThe week after, DataEthics will be present at another important meeting, Computers, Privacy &amp; Data Protection, the CPDP in Brussels. The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpdpconferences.org\/programme.html\" target=\"_blank\">three-day program <\/a>is stuffed with interesting topics such as &#8216;AI and Privacy Challenges in FinTech&#8217; , &#8216;Genetic Privacy&#8217; and &#8216;Consumer Profiling&#8217;.<\/p>\n<p>DataEthics is present in these 3 panels:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpdpconferences.org\/26012017\/cave.html\" target=\"_blank\">Beyond Compliance<\/a>: How Privacy and Competition can be mutually reinforcing arranged by Mozilla.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpdpconferences.org\/26012017\/petite.html\" target=\"_blank\">Ethics, Observational Platforms, Mathematics and Fundamental Rights<\/a> organized by\u00a0 The Information Accountability Foundation<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/www.cpdpconferences.org\/27012017\/cave.html\" target=\"_blank\">Data Reuse as Europe&#8217;s Big Chance &#8211; what about privacy risks<\/a>?organized by Leiden University in Holland<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>News.
