News. Artificial Intelligence (AI) will change the role of the car and therefore we need to make sure that AI will share our values. Such was the message from the CEO of Audi Rupert Stadler at a UN conference AI for Good in Geneva early June.
In the very near future – within a decade – our cars will not only be our chauffeurs and drive by themselves. They can also act as our secretary, butler, postbox, private medical staff and personal avatar based on artificial intelligence. According to Rupert Stadler of Audi, who was a keynote speaker at ITU, the UN’s specialized agency for information and communication technologies, we need to make sure that AI is based on human values and not vice versa.
3 Principles
To make sure that AI in the future is based on human values Stadler proposed three principles:
- We will handle artificial intelligence based on our human intelligence
- Robots and human beings should not harm each other or allow harm by doing nothing.
- They should support each other according to their specific capabilities.
AI for Good aims to accelerate and advance the development and democratization of AI solutions that can address specific global challenges related to poverty, hunger, health, education, the environment, and others.
